My name is Jim, and I’m so glad you found my blog. It is a place to discuss issues such as spirituality, mental health, emotional well-being, and living with chronic illness.
I am a 45 year-old disabled therapist, and this is a forum for me to explore issues that I am dealing with or have dealt with in the past. At times my posts will be raw as I try to make sense of the non-sensical. I definitely don’t know the answers, but I hope to at least raise some helpful questions for discussion.
My disability is related to a bilateral stroke in 2010, an event that completely upended my life and continues to present daily struggles with a plethora of nasty symptoms. However, I believe that event and the fallout from it have taught me valuable lessons and have enabled me to see many things in life much differently than before… sometimes with greater clarity and sometimes with greater confusion.
I have two college-age children and have been married nearly 25 years.
Please feel free to read my posts and post comments of your own.
